    Such a great hammock

I'm surprised that I don't hear much on the Clark hammock. I know they sold and Dutch bought them. I have a TX 250 and a TX 270 at 63 and using the hammocks for the last 8 years. I can only say through my experience that these are are phenomenal. Would love to hear more about Clark hammocks. If your not checking these out your really missing out on a great hammock. Only expressing my experience.

I had a Clark a few years ago which had the two rod hoops to hold up the ends, I don't remember what model it was, and unfortunately did not use it enough to get to know it. Have since learned "don't sell any gear" (dummy) I have gotten an even older Clark from a HF member, which does not have the hoops, and I like it, and use it often. Clark has so many useful features, they are comfortable, and the underside pockets adapt to any seasonal temperature. The over cover (additional "rain fly") that comes with it is especially well thought out. Sets up as quick as anything else. Yup I like it. It can be a refreshing experience to have different hammock set ups. I like them all, and benefit from the many HF members who have listed their used items for sale, thank you all!
Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.

IMO, having to use their proprietary uq for insulation instead of being able to swap for others, as well as the weight,is an issue, there are better lighter options, they are also a little on the short side compared to most standard 11'/12' hammocks of day, I have the 270 as well as the vertex double.

I can't think of the particular company, but someone makes a couple great underquilts specifically for Clark hammocks. Loco, Eco.... not sure, but I've looked them over in the past. Nice, thick, warm, different ratings, full length, maybe a half too. Anyway..... you Can get something other than the Clark model underquilt. I have that one and a One Tigris I can layer beneath it if necessary, but I've slept in well below zero just using the Clark one and in my bag, without any issue. Minus 20 and still warm and toasty! I live in a dry climate so closing up the weather shield most of the way creates a mini-climate inside without much in the way of condensation at all. If you're interested in the brand that offers Clark fitting models, I'm sure it can be easily found online or from Dutch.

I have an old,2011, model NX250, which continues to serve well. I’ll still have it when I can no longer hang. Good times there.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
