    Half-Zipped

I'm considering getting a dutchware half-zipped, but I'm not sure if I would fit. I'm 6'5", 185 lb. I'm a side sleeper, kind of in the fetal position lol. Any tall folks have experience in sleeping in them? I'm aware of the wide version, but would prefer the standard for the weight and cost savings. Maybe get the standard and return it for a wide if I don't fit?

Also, would you suggest hexon 1 or 1.6?

    Thank you all!

At your height, I'd definitely recommend getting the wide version. I'm 6'1", and almost wish I had gotten my hammock a little wider. It's still very comfortable; but I believe an 4-5 extra inches would make a lot of difference.

Just accept the minimal weight penalty for the sake of comfort. In the end (and all else being equal in your pack), you won't even notice the extra 3oz or so on your back.

I'm 6'4" and I recommend the wide. I don't have a half zipped but I do have both a standard and a wide chameleon. I can make the standard work but the wide is just easier.

I really like the 1.6. fabric.

Whichever way you go you can always sell it here on the forums if you decide you want to go the other way. Dutch's hammocks tend to move pretty quickly on there it seems.

I’m 6’4 215 and have a standard half zip. Also a side sleeper and have found it very comfortable. I’m sure the wide might be even better but I don’t have any complaints so far.
