Just ordered a trail winder and a 12' tree runner. Never have tried a 12' footer and have been curious to give it a go. Love all of the options available on a budget-friendly hammock.Don't need a built in zippered bug net, since I usually use a fronkey style bug net, or my cave creek dog palace when a bug net is necessary.

I ordered the 10ft 40 deg. version & the fit is very good on my 11' Trail Lair.

Thanks. I have a wide DH Raven and this sounds like it would fit nicely. I already have a 20* down quilt that is great, but I’m tempted to sell that to fund a 20* Trail Winder plus some other gear. I’m just...on the fence about selling my down, even though I love the TW and apex. Weight and packed size would be equal - mostly a fiddle factor thing.

After using mine for a week, I have to say I love the lack of "fiddle factor" in setting it up. The only downside I noticed is that when you want to pull it aside during the day (or on a really warm night), it sort of falls on top of you while laying in the hammock. This is on an 11' Dutchware netless wide. I'll need to figure out some kind of retention system.

I was able to use mine for a week on the AT earlier this summer (end of June). I was really happy with it's performance. I did find it harder to pull back under me when I had it pulled to the side until it cooled down at night. Other than that I was really happy with it's performance. As most have said very little fiddle factor.

Does the netless hammock have pullouts like the Chameleon? I think you could loop a pullout around the UQ to hold it in place on either side.

I swapped in significantly stronger cordlocks on the side adjustment. Putting more tension on there than the stock ones can hold keeps it out of the way much better.

How’d the trip go, and how do you like the TW?
