I broke the -40 degree record in my Tensa stand when the foot end tie down stake came loose. I was hanging there at -50 degrees feet in the air before tacoing on the ground.
The record is at forty below only because that is the point that modern thermometers cap out. You would have to find a special thermometer to record a lower temperature.

Just a wimpy -30 so far this year.
Not -40° but I'm going for the mid 60's this weekend
