Interesting hang idea that sweaty butt hang, besides, I have always wondered what texas heat was like.
Reminds me of Lonesome Dove. Cool off with tumblejuice...

I might see -30c Sat night out in the bedroom/deck .....be our first bit of "cold" for this winter season. -30c is easy peasy
So want to do -40 (lowest I have seen in these parts from historical data is around -45c)

I believe that's called natural selection lol . Joking aside, I don't think someone without enough experience and proper gear would even have the thought of trying it. If they did though, I think they would get too cold and bail well before they got to a dangerous level. And if not, we're back to Darwin.

-30C / -20F last night and slept snug as a bug like any other night. Hoping tonight gets lower...be last chance this year by the looks of things.

It’s funny you should say that, I was thinking the same thing this week when reflecting on extreme temp hanging.

Is this for real? You guys are outside in hammocks at -40?

If so...why would you do that to yourself?

Weeeeeellllllll, Come on down to the "No Underquilt Hang" in Florida, in July. Just so you know, it's a hike and hang with the shortest trail about 2.2 miles with an average of 12 hangers only. Plenty of space for those that don't like crowds

I wish I coulda hung in some of those cold temps. It only got to 40F as the coldest low for HangCon Jan 24-28. We only got the butt end of the Polar Vortex in Central Florida.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
