Agreed. I lay just as flat in a 11 as i do in a 12. Plus, less weight.

If DIY is a possibility, 12' x almost 12' is possible by using XL fabric. Your cost could be around $70 plus your time (or someone else's time). Just a thought to consider.

Why compromise on the 12' width? Use this fabric.

or buy two of these kits and have someone sew it up for you.

I've been looking around for wide fabric and just paying someone to make it. I am mostly just looking for the right price at this point. IF i go that route. I can sew. I just don't have a sewing machine.......

I've recently been guided towards Warbonnet Cloudburst 30D Silpoly. Does anyone have opinions or experience with this?

Yeah!!! I went with the DD hammock tarp. Here. More specifically the 3.5 x3.5 mc. I freaking love it. I might get the 5x5 soon too!!

I have the Cloudburst and 11' wide hammock. I love the tarp. I also purchased the detachable doors for cold weather trips. Brandon makes nice products! Sometimes I laugh when I set that thing up just for me but don't want smaller (unless I was thru hiking).
