I tie a small loop of shock cord to the door. From there I attach either a Nama Gear Claw or a Dutch plastic door hook to a piece of reflective guyline that is attached to the D ring of the tarp at the corner.
With the Nama Gear Claw in use you can crank down HARD on those doors. If you go with the lighter nylon hook from Dutch you simply make the line adjustable with a prussic knot and it will hold the tension just fine.I like the reflective lines as it makes them so much easier to deal with in the dark because if you don't open both doors you're going to have to step over the line for the unopened door in the dark and you don't want to get hung up doing that.......
I did try staking my doors but I was not a big fan of that;maybe I didn't do it correctly. My primary setup uses the Dutch door hook and a slipping prussic for tension and works for me just fine.It seems that most of the time I will have to adjust tension just once and the shock cord takes up any slack thereafter.
