I've always wanted a Sherpa, not to carry my backpack, but to keep my hammock rocking all night.

Now I just have to figure out how to get it to rock at 0.25 hertz...

If you’re backpacking and use trekking poles you can keep one next to the hammock to push yourself into a rocking mode. Obviously you will not want to be doing this all night, just a few times when you first get in. I do this with my chill hammock when I’m lounging in the daytime, but at night I don’t find that I need it for sleeping. In fact I barely have time to turn my iPod on, I’m usually sound asleep within 5 minutes.

I seem to remember reading on this forum that some people rig up a light rope to a nearby tree so they can pull on the rope to induce a rocking motion.
Sounds like very advanced hammocking to me!
I use mine indoors for the most part, and in the warmer months especially, enjoy swinging to cool me at night. The waffle or diamond type weave of my NHO is very airy. I do it also to help drift off.
