This fabric is great! Not very stretchy, light but strong for grammage 34g/sqm. Perfect for sewing hammocks, IMHO. The first one I made is 1.4 m wide, 3 m long and weights 190 g (6,7oz) with 2 mm dyneema whoopie slings, 1.5 mm dyneema ridgeline and a bishop bag.

Just ordered a few yards of this..

I am thinking of using a HUG style bug net in 0.5 noseeum.

I used the 0.5 on a Half Wit clone and though challenging to sew and a bit whispy in the wind, it worked well.

Curious how the MonoLite feels compared to something like UL Robic 1.2
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Monolite Half Wit with 0.5 noseeum and dynaglide whoopies larked directly to hammock. Hang it from some titanium toggles and UL tree huggers and put it in your fanny pack! Ain’t gettin no lighter than that!

I think it’s safe to trust RSBTR’s comments about it being easy to sew and punching above it’s weight class. I have yet to dive into the sewing rabbit hole, but I have a tarp sleeve and a mini gear hammock made of Monolite courtesy of SLD. It doesn’t strike me as wispy at all. I’m this closeto ordering a Monolite Streamliner.

I've been carrying UL straps and dynaglide ucr's for a while... Skip the toggle.

I'll see how I like the fabric once it's here.. maybe stick with the Monolite for the bug net as well.

Ironic that in my order of UL Monolite I also have some of the beefy AirWave fabric.. the opposite end of the spectrum!!

I stand corrected lol. Never thought of dynaglide UCR’s! Talk about living on the edge! You ever tried them for suspension before?

Not so risky IMHO.. Dynaglide is some strong stuff. I made a set summer before last and used them for that season. Now I carry use the Kevlar straps direct to CL's and keep the UCR's in case I need some extra length. Some more pictures here....

The UCRs look great. No issue with them creeping? How long is the bury?
