Warbonnet Wooki XL with Dutch Netless

Is anyone out there using a Wooki XL with a Dutch Netless Hammock? I'm gonna give it a try but just looking to hear from anyone who's tried it and any tips you have. Thanks!

Yes, I’ve done it. At first I attached to my Dutch netless, and assumed it fit perfectly, no adjustment needed. After a test run in 50 degree weather, I noticed a little CBS after 15 minutes or so. I determined I needed to shorten a couple of inches, as the Wooki had a lot of play, and didn’t seem to contact the hammock like it did my Eldorado. Just fastened a bit of shock cord in lieu of using the rubber band, and it worked.

I still prefer to use my Wooki XLC with my Eldorado, but I’ve used it several times with my Dutch netless, and it's been fine.

Thanks, that's great info! I was thinking exactly the opposite (that I'd have to lengthen the Wooki), since the finished (unwhipped) length of my Dutch Netless is 132" vs 127" on my Eldorado.

I feel like the right amount of tension is when you can slide the Wooki from side to side while inside without it too much trouble, but fairly snug to keep it in place and minimize gaps between UQ and hammock.

I did a video how to hook up a wookie to a chameleon

2 inches of stretch on your ranger band is what Brandon suggests.

No, not yet. But I will. I was just planning to adjust it the same on each end, so I liked your insight about adjusting the two ends differently due to the different lay/sweet spot of the Dutch netless. That makes sense, because my Eldorado finished length is 10'7", and the finished length of the netless is 11'0". Coupled with the difference in ridgeline length (112" on the Eldorado, 110" on the netless), it results in a different hang for sure. 28 degrees on the Eldorado, 34 degrees on the netless. I'm considering doing the lengthening of the Wooki with shock cord just to be safe.
