Does anyone have any experience using a bucket hitch with a spiderweb 1.5 straps from DWG? Currently use will be slayings with spiderweb tree huggers but I’m looking to simplify my suspension even further with the Becket Hitch

I don't have the Spider straps, but the becket hitch works great with my UHMWPE webbing- which is made from Dyneema- which is the same material as the Spider straps. I've read other posts where folks are using it with the Spider straps with no problem. I think you'll be fine if you go that route.
Will work fine. Also experiment with the J-bend as well. I prefer it to the Becket Hitch, many prefer the Becket.
Also try it with J-bend.

Awesome thanks for the advice!

The only differences for me are:
1) the J-bend releases a little easier after being weighted
2) the Becket is a little faster to tie
I can't fathom a real world advantage to either in terms of safety or slip resistance.
I used the Spider Web 1.5 straps with a becket hitch most of the summer, including two, 3 day backpacking trips. I weigh 260 and had no problems with slippage. The knot is a little tough to release after a night but a sharp tug does release it. The straps are very thin and tend to roll so some care must be used to flatten them out when going around a tree. For that reason, I used 15' straps and always made 2 wraps around the trees. A pair of 15' straps weigh 1.85 oz and packs up to about the size of a pack of cigarettes. Perfect suspension for weight and space conscious backpacking, IMO, and is what I now take on all my multi day hikes. However, if just on an overnight where I am not hiking far, or car camping, I like the convenience of the spider/poly straps and beetle buckles.
