    Super Blood Wolf Moon

Watching a full lunar eclipse tonight seems like a perfect excuse to set up a hammock stand on a frozen lake. I'm gonna need:

    ~ hot chocolate
    ~ snacks
~ loyal companion dog (we'll see about that...)
~ tub sled with blankets and dog bed
~ Ice fishing suit and boots

It's supposed to be around 0°F during the eclipse with wind chill temps around -10°F.
The game is the best teacher.

Sounds like a good time. Unfortunately, it's snowing like crazy here in New England, so I think moon gazing is out, LOL. Enjoy!

Same storm here. I like the full moon hangs but not happening this month. Hung out back last night but the snow stopped at about 6 or 8 inches and turned into freezing rain and 30+ MPH winds.

Hope your night is/was more pleasant.

Woo! Report back tomorrow after you thaw out!!

I was outside this afternoon in insulated coveralls over 3 other layers, gloves plus mittens, AND the sun was shining as I worked and still... cold fingers, cold toes, cold face, frequent trips inside to warm up. I cannot imagine setting up and sleeping out tonight... I'm hoping I can get myself out there to take a look at it when the eclipse is complete!

    Good luck and enjoy!!

Slept out under that red rascal, testing Hammock Tent 90 degree on a NeoAir All Season pad! But it was only 25F, so not a big enough challenge to keep me from watching that blood/super/eclipsed moon! WhooHooo!

Here I am in the rain, still wearing shorts and sandals (rain drains well through sandals and wearing shorts prevents wet pant legs) the moon is hidding. Bah I want to go home, I miss the snow and clear air.
