I'm planning to make a top quilt from the Costco down throw. I want to cut off two rows on the long side so it's not so wide, and use a 4x2 section for the bottom of the foot box. Before cutting off the rest of the side, I'll pick out the vertical stitching and shake the down into the rest of the quilt. But because I'm using a section for the foot box With its down, four rows of the main quilt won't have the extra down from those squares.
So, my question is: Do I put those four rows of slightly less warmth at the head or foot end of my top quilt?
Thanks.
