The black drip cords would be easy to miss. Mine were inside one of the hammock pockets tucked in a corner.

I used mine a few times before I discovered my drip lines.

Ironfish is refering to the corner buckles, those get tumbled in a vibratory tumbler for a few days to soften any sharp edges, the water in there darkens the aluminum and so you can see the marks left by the tumbling media.

Brand New direct from Warbonnet. Nice International Orange. I contacted Warbonnet and was told something along the line of the ends are tummbled and thatl is how they now look!This was the fifth RR I PURCHASED NEW, all the other metal parts were in unmarred condition.

is there a photo; before unmarred and current showing the marks?

Ive looked as detailed as i could...no drip lines. What are they made of for me to work out some on my own?

Anything, even shoe laces will work. I'm using 4" lengths of paracord at each corner.

The old spreader bar set used to have a 4" middle piece (male/female ends). You had a choice of using it or not.

Without the 4” piece, you are deeper “in” the hammock; there is more of a side wall. As a side sleeper, it is nice to be able to press my back against the side wall. I’m glad I have the older spreader bars.

Never thought about that, i dont sleep on my side, but occasionally would be nice.
