I recently received a RR as well but didnt get the black cords. (i do find the bungie cord at the head nice...seems to make it easier to zip the bug net closed when not in the hammock)

The problem with the four inch piece was it was easy to loose.
Now the sections fit together so there are just the two segments of telescoping poles to keep together as many members requested.
The black drip lines did not come with the RR I bought for my daughter's friend.
Plus the end caps are discolored and all dinged up. I was embarrassed to give the RR as a gift, the hardware looks very used.
The black drip cords would be easy to miss. Mine were inside one of the hammock pockets tucked in a corner.
Terribly sorry to hear about the discolored end caps IRONFISH45, that definitely seems off IF it was a new order from Warbonnet. Both of mine were spotless and new.
These “drip lines” however were never part of either of my Ridgerunners. Interesting. There’s enough talk of them however, 550 cord or the like is easy to rig if one feels it necessary.
I contacted Warbonnet about the endcaps the answer was that is just the way they are!
My other RR came with the hardware all nice and new, no discoloration and no scratches.
Brand New direct from Warbonnet. Nice International Orange. I contacted Warbonnet and was told something along the line of the ends are tummbled and thatl is how they now look!
This was the fifth RR I PURCHASED NEW, all the other metal parts were in unmarred condition.
The hammock that was donated to me when I had inappropriate water in my house and then the storage unit I put my salvageable things in caught fire and burned for two days, was used and the end caps were in better condition than this last purchase. Really too bad because the RR is beautiful and so is the Orange Spindrift.
