My wife and I have been camping at Harrold Parker for over 20 years with our trailers. It's usually our "shakedown" for each year's camping season. The sites by the river go first so jump on those as soon as reservations open. If my wife comes, we will have a 32 foot camper. If it's just me, I'll just bring the truck and my hammock gear. There's a nice pond for kayaking and fishing and plenty of hiking. If you're into Geocaching, there are probably 50 caches in the park.
On a side note, this is the closest campground to Boston. Back during the recession, several families who became homeless got tents and moved in there. As a result of the stresses of homeless living, there were many problems in the park. This caused the Mass DCR to make the rule stating that nobody can stay in any Massachusetts State Park campground for more than 14 nights in any year. The park is frequently patrolled by police and rangers. This makes the campground one of the safest and cleanest around. They react to complaints very quickly and will enforce the rules if someone is being obnoxious.

I have no problem with July 12-14. My schedule is wide open.

I'll try to book same site as last year, I believe it was 75.
There were several hanger friendly tree pairs there, so additional hangers are welcome and invited.
Was looking at reserve America. July 12-14 sites 75 and 77 are booked. July 19-21 site 81 is booked. July 26-28 is still wide open. Did one of us start booking sites?
Thought we couldn’t reserve them til February.

Can reserve 6 months in advance which puts us up to july 28 as of today. Was just asking if someone already started or whether we would have neighbors like last year. If we want to hoard all the water sites we best be a moven!��
