Weather permitting.... Riding in, I'll likely use the Bay Circuit Trail. I'll take the train from Salem to either Wenham or Newburyport and follow the trail. I'll use a mountain bike of some sort - either full suspension or fatbike. I've ridden this three times before out to Harold Parker and camped overnight. From Wenham it's ~40 miles. From Newburyport it's 55 miles.

I have several hammocks to test out beforehand. I picked up an REI Flash Air Hammock with my dividend and the coupon. It came and was obnoxious orange - which is OK except when I stealth camp...

So on MassDrop, I picked up a Hennessy Hammock that's olive green. That has good coloring - but the suspension seems a bit fiddly with knots.

So on Kickstarter, I picked up the gray Kammock Mantis UL Hammock setup at the initial kick-off price.

And finally - everyone says longer is better so I ordered a 12-foot cheapy hammock from Amazon for like $20. (No link.)

I've got some "deciding" to do!

Watch out! berating orange is fighting words for one of our group. He loves everything orange. You will meet Mr. Hook! Welcome and can't wait to meet you we aren't all into knives, some of us are into swords (the young girls especially). A good mountain bike will come in handy as we plan to bike on the trails. I still have to get back in shape.

I'll also be biking in, albeit a slightly different type of bike.

If you have any energy after that ride in, there will be a few of us hitting the trails in HP on Saturday. If not, there will be lots of food around to recoup lost calories.

Good grief, Jer. You could live in that for about two weeks without ever having to get out. Looking great !
