I picked up one that covered all of the Sioux Hustler trail to check them out. Pretty cool, all the pros they list on their site are true. The cons are the lack of rigidity, if you're hiking and you need to pull out the map to check your location real quick it's "floppiness" is going to be a little frustrating and the ability to write notes on it if you want to jot down mileage isn't going to work real well. Otherwise its a nice little multipurpose piece of gear as far as maps go.

Thanks for posting this info, I like to get several maps of the same area and compare differences. Heading to the BWCA this fall so will come in handy.

Those maps look cool and certainly add some unique features for the cost. I love maps... but hate the cost of buying them. For my trip last year I printed a set of free NatGeo quads covering the whole route. Had UTM and LAT/LON grids so they were simple to use with any basic gps or free phone app that can give UTM coordinates. The scale was perfect for using for navigation by terrain association. I marked them up with Portage and campsite into from the web and copied them so every member of the group had a set. Hard to do that when they cost $7 (or $25!) per map. Especially if your trip covers more than one map. And I used "rite in the rain" paper so they were waterproof. $26 for 200 sheets.
