If you're really set on wedging two people into one hammock, then logic suggests you get the longest, widest one practical. From the resident cottage vendors, I would suggest the Tree Runner from Simply Light Designs. Choose an XL fabric and the 12' length. And maybe a double layer for added strength... depending on how "intimate" you're looking to get in there.

I failed to mention that this is mainly for home use, in my shop, backyard, etc. I want the idea of hammocking to be an intimate affair. Camping is a whole different animal, besides, I live at the beach so no trees to hang from, and I got other plans for that. I just want a nice big single layer 1.7 symmetrical as a home and backyard lounger made by our little cottage industry.
I'll reiterate that maybe you want to email a maker like Jared at Simply Light who likely has made something for this purpose before. BUT, it occurs to me that what might be better is the large luxury bridge hammock that Towns End makes?

I just did the Florida hang with a DoubleDutch. My GF and I really enjoyed the setup. My only complaint (and it’s not really a complaint) is our tarp could only close on one end from the spreader bar.

One of our Washington State member (CreativeKayt) had a huge hammock custom made. I asked a lot of questions about the hammock. I had wanted a hammock I could Hang in with my large puppy, I was new to hammocks and thought I wanted big to fit both myself & dog. Ha ha, discovered not too cool, in fact a disaster waithing to happen.

Some things are great in the mind, fantasy is great, reality not so much.

First for some people especially short folks getting out of a gathered end hammock is a project to exit. A hammock with two people is a real challenge to exit. Plus bodies roll to the center, elbows end-up in eyes... People tend to become cranky without restful sleep.

Dream Hammock has a plan for side-by-side where each person is able to sleep comfortably.

Snuggling is nice, but sleeping and orchestrated exits are not a joy after a few times.

Dream Hammock made me a 6' wide 11' long gathered-end, double-layer (1.7 exterior, 1.6 interior) Raven that my gf and I have (not uncomfortably) slept together in. It can hold 470 lbs. which gives us over 100 lbs. of wiggle room. It is a tad heavy at just over 2 lbs., but it works

My wife and I will lounge in my 11’ hexon xl. We lay opposite directions on the same diagonal. Works for hanging out together in camp. We could never sleep that way though.

Best advice for you is right here.
The biggest challenge is going to be finding a UQ that works. I think you are going to need one wider than the standard 44” for sure.
