Looking to keep my Hammock Gear Incubator quilt from moving all over the place. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the pack hooks vs. quilt hooks. Thanks in advance.

I have a hammock with sewn on pack hooks, and I'd say it does a fairly decent job of keeping the underquilt from sliding off of my shoulder.
I’m partial to pack hooks as well.

I clip the primary suspension up to the SRL on the hammock using a micro mitten hook. It changes the direction of pull on the suspension to up rather than out towards the head and foot. Most often I skip the head end, but it works at either end. Won't work if you're using a bug net that goes over the SRL though which is why the Triangle Thingies were born...
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I’ve been looking to modify my Dutchware net less hammock with some clips for an UQ but maybe I will use the triangle thingies over the ridge line. Do people generally use shock cord for this sort of application?
Does your hammock have pull outs? I've attached a small loop of cord on the foot side and head side of my Raven hammock (on the pull outs) and then loops of cord on the foot side and head side of my HG Incubator. Then I put a tiny locking carabiner through both loops, attaching them together at the head and foot side. The quilt stays exactly in place on my feet and head and doesn't slip at all. Works really well for me...

That sounds like a great way to secure the uq to the hammock. Unfortunately, the net less doesn’t have those side hammock loops that you are referring to. Maybe I can sew some on...
Tato Gear (available through Dutchware) have several plastic devices that can help with netless hammocks (I use a netless Dutchware too). Their quilt hangers and ridgeline quilt hooks are effective. The clip on quilt hooks are (I think) was is being discussed in this thread and is intended to give an experience similar to the sewn on hooks found on the Chameleon.

I tried the Tato ridge line quilt hooks and had two snap in cold weather... precisely when they are needed most. For $0.10 the micro mitten hook works exactly the same. I leave hanging on the SRL so it's there regardless of the quilt I use.
Conceptually, the triangle thingies accomplish the same thing and work on netted hammocks.
