Apparently Dorian rode through the lighthouse hang with a punch... please tell us how everyone faired the weather. Did everyones tarps hold up?

All was well. Had some rain but not as much as predicted. Windy but nothing catastrophic, no damage and no injuries. Met a bunch of new folks, and missed the regulars that could not attend. Lobster was 1st rate , as usual, thanks to Tom and his crew. Already planning for next year, hope to see everyone there.
Thanks, glad to hear

Got to try out my new Cedar Ridge Outdoors winter Haven tarp this trip. It was awesome. The poles made it a palace. Everything under it was dry.

I had a great time meeting you all! Thanks for making my first hang great. If we met, add me to your friends or drop me a pm so I know who you are.

Hi all!
What a TERRIFIC trip this was! It was so much fun to meet up with those we met last year, and meet some great new friends, including our fellow hangers from Wisconsin, who definitely win for farthest distance traveled!
Once again I felt at home, and enjoyed all the conversations we had.
Special high fives to Frank, Isabel, Bob, and Hunter for our little trip through the woods on Saturday. Next year.. need to see lighthouses!!
While there I had a great time learning more about my hammock setup: much of it worked great a few things didn't work as well, but overall I'm pleased to check off two new items on my "Hammock Skills/ Experience" list:
Previously:
1. First overnight hang ever - Lobster and Lighthouse Hang 2018 (thank you Roger for our overnight setups)
2. First night out with my OWN hammock setup - Cast Iron Chef Hang 2019 (Thank you Rick and Margaret for hosting!)
3. Stayed comfortable with low of 36 degrees - Cast Iron Chef Hang 2019
and now:
4. First time sleeping TWO consecutive nights out in my hammock setup - Lobster and Lighthouse Hang 2019!
5. First time sleeping overnight in light but steady rain (actually two nights in a row!) - Lobster and Lighthouse Hang 2019
So, for all you who are dying for photos Here is a link to my Flickr album with it all! Will add hubby's pics when I can extract them from his phone Lobster and Lighthouse Hang 2019, Phippsburg, Maine

I plan to go to the DAR hang and will have it then if you want to take a look (assuming my back calms down enough).
I think, like everyone else, I'm constantly trying to perfect my setup. The new tarp was what I should have bought first but it is my fourth tarp. It kept me completely dry Saturday night. Many thanks to Bob for the help and advice with setting it up. The Tensa stand is probably the best thing I've bought short of the hammock itself. I mostly camp from my kayak and there's never any trepidation or fear of having to go to ground. It fits in the bottom of my boat and is easy to deploy. I've flown with it in my carry-on to Hangcon in Florida and used it at most of the local hangs leaving the trees for those who need them.
