The biggest "help" I use in winter is a balaclava. The top quilt is easy because of past TQ and sleeping bag investments. The UQ is standard setup though I'm playing with adding Reflexit in the DL. But my nose/face would get pretty cold. The balaclava could be pulled up and I could breath through the fabric. So that probably helped with condensation issues too. I hope you can rig a tarp in your situation such that you can still see the stars. Looking at a night sky filled with diamonds is pretty neat.

Frame is a 12' piece of 2x6 and some 2x4's (3' sections) bolted in with a five bolt configuration on each end. Basket came from work (restaurant) was used as a bottle top drying basket from when we still had the machine one.

Pm me if you want specifics

And the Cross Beam on top is for stability and wife wants cross slats on the very top still so it looks like a pergola sort of.

    Talking The back forest hangout

The back forest... took these after I took the UQ down and finished setting up the door pull backs on the HG Journey tarp.

A day camping in the rain is better than a good day at work,
