The Frogg Togg poncho is waterproof - you really don't want a waterproof, non-breathable underquilt protector. Quilts need to breathe.

JRB sells something like that or used to: http://www.jacksrbetter.com/shop/dri...n-kit-applied/
Also I think QiWiz made one several years back:

"...the height of hammock snobbery!"
The FT poncho works. I modified one with grosgrain loops to allow it be strung up as a UQP.
It is best to allow the quilts to breathe but it’s also good to keep the rain off. HYOH.
The FT poncho is much more bulky than my sil poncho, so I carry the sil, which also has extra tabs to work as a UQP or pseudo Grizz beak.
Any poncho or rain jacket can be rigged up as full or partial UQP to keep the rain/wind off in a pinch. Just takes some creative thinking.
Ambulo tua ambulo.
If you want double the condensation, you can match that Frogg Toggs poncho with a non-breathable, waterproof hammock like the DD travel hammock:

DD is just about the only company that makes waterproof hammocks.

Derek has plans to DIY the JRB product here.
Frogg Toggs poncho uqp was my go to warm weather UQ for many years, modified d same as the ultimate hang link. Still works well being waterproof and somewhat breathable, never really got clammy using it but I always hung it loose to minimize condensation. As an inexpensive, multi use item I don't think it can be beat.
Great article, thanks for the link! It sure saved him one night when he had a leaking tarp! Some say that if you can't keep your down dry youhave no usiness inthe woods. I was pleased to see that even this renowned and very expeienced guy can have unexpected problems. If he hadn't been testing that DriDucks UQP(converted in a hurry to TQP) he would have been in trouble.
He also links to his writing on VBs. Good link!

I think this link will work for the Dry Ducks poncho with UQP modification. Dry Ducks is Frogg Toggs.
