I think driducks is what they used to call the lighter weight version. At the Walmart they have the light weight one for $5 and the heavier one for $11.
I have made one and didn’t get condensation like with the first uqp I made from silnylon. I think the multiple layers and perforated look is for some breathability. There is a rolled hem at each end (one end has the ends of the rolled hem trapped inside the side hems.) I tied a cord to a mitten hook, threaded the cord through end rolled hem, then through the other mitten hook and then through a cord lock. On the other end I did the same but had to poke holes to get into the rolled hem. It is that easy. To use, clip the mitten hooks onto a marlin spike loop made by twisting the uq suspension. I think it works well to block wind from stealing heat from the uq.
I also add some kamsnaps so it doesn’t blow all over the place when worn as a poncho.
