Hello from NC

Hello,

New Hanger from GasVegas NC, had a ENO, traded it for a new hiking pack, then got a Warbonnet Blackbird.

Have a 40 degree with 2oz overfill Hammock Gear Phoenix and Burrow in order (9ish weeks away).

For the Rain Fly, Grand Trunk Abrigo and switching it to a continuous ridgeline soon.

I’ve hammock camped 3 times now (twice in the ENO, once in Warbonnet). And then I was pointed to Shug, so now I figured out a lot about what I did wrong...

Looking forward to learning more, and getting in the woods more.

About myself: 38, married with a 4yo daughter whose the love of my life. Worked for the same company for 18 years (working in Charlotte again, which I hate). I’m from West Virginia originally, lived in the Carolinas now for 19 years.

Welcome from the Triangle. Check out the group hangs. We have several coming up in NC over the next couple of months. Group hangs are a great place to not only meet people and have a good time. They are an excellent place to see what other more experienced hangers are doing with gear. I know I've received some valuable insight on the one hang I've been to so far.

Will do, I plan on doing an easy over night trip after I get my Hammock Gear stuff in, might head up to Grandfather area for that.
