Plus one on the back yard...I'd like to go to MAHHA this year in the Spring, and maybe some other places before then, depending on the weather, and time permitting.

New Years Eve I spent the day grouse hunting and the evening sleeping on the edge of the St Croix river. Temp was zero degrees and wind was whipping down the river. Loved every minute except for the creepy guy who drove up and wandered around for no apparent reason. He left an hour later without incident and I slept like a baby in my Cameleon and LL quilts.

Pine Mountain Trail overnight on January 12th in my chameleon and under my WB Mountainfly. Stayed nice and dry and warm with 20 degree HG Econ Burrow and Incubator. Nice and overcast but rain came down overnight. Hiked in about 1.5 miles from FDR State Park Office to Broken Tree Campsite.

    Grayson highlands winter hang

Dropped my all time to low to 10°F down 22°
Not too bad. I was warm in the hammock and pretty much warm the rest of the time.

I'm sitting in a hotel near the airport after Hangcon. We had such a great time together. This community is the kindest, most generous group of people. We are all friends that may not have met yet.

I was originally planning to hang tonight but the forecast was for rain all day into tomorrow so I used some points to get a free night. I sure got some interesting looks checking in with a fixed blade knife hanging from my belt.

Now there's gear hanging on every surface in the room drying out for the flight home tomorrow.

Many thanks to all who contributed to this event. We had to move it because of the government shutdown but between the raffle and donations there was a small sum that will go to good causes.

    Thanks Timberrr and Gumbo.
