Happy 2019!! Where is your first hang of the new year?

Tomorrow morning my wife and I will go to a place where does not have phone/internet coverage. In the woods, obviously.

So I want to wish you guys a new year full of hammock camping! Happiness and fortunate to you and your family and I'm sure we will have an excellent 2019!

Where and when are you planning your first hang of 2019 at?

If the stars line up my first hang will be Belle Isle State Park. I was down there 2 years ago but with my camper. This time I hope to go down without the family and do some hammock camping. When I was there I spoke to the rangers and was told as long as I used 2 inch straps and 6" trees I could hang next to my camp site.

Lots of good day hikes in this area with some great water views.

So how about you? What are you planning

Here’s my first hang for 2019... in my house. I got home from work at 1130pm (New Year’s Eve). Baby girl was sick and she slept in my wife’s bed. I ended up sleeping in my hammock (man cave).
