Hi all, am new to the world of hammocks and am currently in a bit of a research process. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors, mostly in D'Aguilar National Park near Brisbane, Australia. Hopefully I can contribute something to the forum and also pick up some tips for my first hammok purchase!

Re hammock purchases - check out Tier Gear in Tasmania. I’ve always found them very helpful and good quality.
As you look through this forum, remember that most people are hanging in cool to cold climates so you’ll have to adjust for the heat/humidity in QLD.
Also, one day they’ll start using the metric system!
Welcome! It's been a couple decades since I was in Brisbane, but I remember it fondly. I didn't see many hammock hanging trees on the beaches.
G'day. I lived in NSW as a kid. I've been to Brisbane and around Western Australia (Perth, Albany, Fremantle, Karatha, Exmouth). Good times, cool country. I miss chicko rolls, meat pies, lamingtons and Bundaberg ginger beer.
