Membrane Silpoly Tarp Side Panel Pulls Info Wanted

Hoping to make a winter tarp with RSBTR membrane silpoly. I know with membrane I should *glue* my corner reinforcements. On heavier fabric side panel tie outs are sewn on. What is done for membrane silpoly? Also sewn or *glued* or both? Thanks in advance for any information and/or photos you care to share.

I've had the RSBTR winter tarp for a few years now. I used the membrane PU4000 material. Added pull outs using a reflective construction vest. Actually I sewed everything and seam sealed it all. Has held up great over the last couple years, no leaks ever (knock on wood) and has been in all sorts of weather. Only wish it wasn't my first DIY project. The membrane is tough to sew. Very slippery. My seams are nothing to write home about.

I did two tarps using the bonded reinforcements at the corners and panel pulls.. I used 1.1 Silpoly for the tarps and 0.9 membrane for the reinforcement patches, bonded on with silnet diluted 1:3 with mineral spirits. No needle holes through the tarp and seam sealing needed.

For the panel pulls, I sewed the grosgrain loop to the patch before bonding to the tarp.. again, no needle holes and no seam sealing.

Pics of both builds are in my HF albums...
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....
