I'm good with fishing Tennessee. I've done well at frog level several times and if I remember correctly, there is a primitive campground there by the stream. But, I'm honestly good where ever.

The only reason I was thinking Damascus is because of the available trout streams and my knowledge of them. From the looks of it we may have several people coming from a good distance to hang and fish. In Damascus, I know I can put everyone on fish as long as the streams are not blown out from rain. Catching fish always increases the level of fun. As long as your confident we can get on fish at the streams you listed I'm in

Totally side note... Just thought about big tumbling Creek too. Not sure of the camping options, but from April 1 through Sept they stock parts of that Creek weekly. You need a Virginia freshwater license and then it's $8 a day to fish there. Amazing fishing and small Creek with great scenery. Just another idea. That's my problem, I have to many places and ideas. But as they say if I was ever forced to choose just one place to fish and had to depend on it to survive.... White top Laurel in Damascus all day every day.

Any thoughts on dates yet? I am going on a trout fishing trip end of April for a week in PA. Wouldn’t mind trying new waters before that.

Absolutely. Most will use interstate 81 to exit 14. Just off this exit is a Walmart. Roughly 1 to 2 miles from 81 toward Damascus is the Virginia creeper trail fly shop. Good resource for fishing in the area pertaining to hatches. In Damascus, there is a gas station/ food market called Cowboys. All of these should sell licences.
Just curious...the ones coming, are you spin or fly fishing, or both. I do both. In Damascus, I'll be spin fishing, but tend to use some flies with a drop shot to cast.

Idk what time's best for trout fishing (longtime bass and catfish man myself) but I'm looking to get into fly fishing and I think this would be a great opportunity to learn. Idk if dates have been set, but the first weekend in March would work (Idk if that's too early?). Let's get some dates and camping arrangements on the calendar!

Same here, I'm primarily bait casting/spinning setups. I have a $35 Walmart intro-to-fly-fishing kit I bought, and I'm looking to learn to use it!

I have a Tenkara rod that I've been lucky with and plan to give it a go if I'm able to attend.
