    New underquilt.

Merry Christmas and a thank you to my family and JRB for my new Greylock 4. I've been admiring them for some time now and I'm happy to finally have a piece of Jack's gear. I'm going for trip on the 27th and looking forward to trying it out. Hope its gets cold enough for a good trial. Good looking piece of kit. Not that I concern myself with such things but it coincidentally happens to be exactly the same colors as my HG topquilt.
I thought I was wrong once, turns out I was wrong about that.

You will probably have to get way up in the mountains to really put that one to the test! But congrats on that really nice Christmas present, it should really do the job!

What are you going to use to keep your feet warm when using this short quit?

I use a piece of fabric called radiantex. Its mylar and some type of polysomesuch. I don't recall what exactly. I've been using it for quite a few years now and it has always done the trick. If it gets particularly cold I also have a small piece of that mylar bubble wrap stuff that I use at a sit pad.
