I pulled the trigger a couple weeks early and splurged on some bling from Jared at Simply Light Designs. I got a winter silnylon slug tube, some stuff sacks, custom straps for my hot tent, but my favorite item is the custom made heavy duty bag he built me for my knico packer stove and hot tent. Cash is always good, so that will help fund my upcoming trips.

Items to lighten my pack: HG Econ 20 top and bottom quilts. Solo cook kit. Some other small items.

Should have asked for a lighter pack

Oddly enough, this year my list has no hammock related gear on it... there isn't even any "outdoor" gear.

I may have bought ALL the gearZ already!

Of course, I may now need to buy a contractors trailer to transport and a llama to tote...

Absolutely nothing. I have more hammock stuff than I can possibly use. Now I'm in total saving money mode as the economy starts to slip on its way to a crash. Save save save!

I don't have a ton of equipment yet and I'm probably not going to do much hammock camping this winter because I don't have a great tarp or warm enough quilts. So here's my hammock dream/wish list....

RDS Down (if it's possible to get synthetic fill that would keep you this warm, I'd prefer that) Top and Bottom Quilts Rated to 20ºF-ish (in the color purple would be great, but I'll settle for black).
A really nice, big and light tarp for hammock camping ( in purple or a lime green?)
3 telephone poles (or something similar) planted in my back yard so that I can hang whenever I want (I'm too old to wait for trees to grow).
Installation of hooks in my office so that I can hang inside whenever I want (this is probably going to happen although I still find it terrifying no matter how much I trust my significant other to install such devices)
ÜLA CDT backpack (in purple, of course)
A perfectly quiet place with no other humans, lots of critters (feathered and furred), possibly a babbling brook and some pine trees to hammock camp accompanied by perfect weather, of course!

And this is my first post here (I think) so "hi"!

I am new to hammock camping and hammocking. This year has been my first year into it (and of course, I'm a Shug fan now). So I'm always open to suggestions. Collecting all the hammock THINGS can be a bit pricey, so, again, this is a dream/wish list.
