    This is for Hiker Fast

HandyRandy and I decided a few months ago to try winter hiking for the first time in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and it has been a success and quite an adventure. We met several hikers but one in particular wanted a report of our last two days so here it is:
We went up Crawford at lunch Wednesday, and set up the hammocks just below the Nauman tent site to block the winds that were coming.
Thursday we left at 8:30am and hiked 8 hours to the top of Mount Washington, had dinner and left at 6pm to make it back by 11:45pm but yes winds were probably at 45mph, but thank goodness it wasn’t too cold. We had planned on staying up there today but the wind driven rain got everything wet so we hiked back down in the rain. This is the end of our trip. It’s been awesome but that last bit was quite tough.

Great pictures! Raining up here on 1st day of winter after 2 feet of snowfall in November. Go figure!

My compliments to the photographer(s). Those shots made me shiver looking at the snow.

Looks like a great trip, except for the rain. Thanks for sharing the photos!

Sweet. I'm such a rookie with little free time to hang/backpack that I learn much from everyone's pictures. :-D

Glad y'all made it back to share the experience.

It was indeed. Just wish that rain hadn’t come in or that it was snow that came in instead cause we would have stayed out for another 2 days hitting some other peaks!!!
