The magic number is what is comfortable for you. I set up my hammock making sure it is level first and at the height I want it at ( ie...when I sit in the hammock and it stretches ), I feel like I am sitting in chair with my feet just touching the ground. Then I raise the foot end a few inches higher and I am good.

Gunner nailed it. There is no one set up that will work for everyone and it’s all personal preference. For me the BB only needs about 3-4 inches higher on the foot end to be comfortable. 18” would be horrible for me but not for some folks. It comes down to setting up a lot and experimenting to see what feels best to you.

I'm not sure if Shug does this, but most times I'll get out for my quick morning business and raise the head end before getting back in. "Breaaaaakfast from the hammock" mode...more upright for that coffee as well and scooting closer to the head end.

I sometimes lower my head end or raised the foot end for breeeekfest from the hammock to scoot me more towards the head so I can sit up and sip and slurp.

Not sure on the spelling myself......I usually just say it rather than try to spell it. Could be subjective.

In a world where the Lazy Hanger's Ridgeline exists, it stands to reason that there would be a "multi-mode suspension." Yank a cord to raise your head end from inside the hammock.

Someone get on that! Not me; I prefer not to make peristalsis too easy...

Motorized pulley system, bluetooth controlled via app. With all the add-ons these days I won't put it past anyone!

It's all done by reaching up to your Hangtime Hook and tapping the screen a couple of times. Add cloud features; prep your hammock height from your phone while out on a day hike!

I geek out on tech, but even I know where to draw the line!
