i have something similar that I use for bike commuting. they are effective for keeping the toes warmer especially in the wind while riding.

They seem tight but once on toes under socks they feel OK.

I have a couple of extra tarps that I can bring to add to the wind wall. One of them is pretty good size...maybe 15x20.....not real sure of the exact size. I'll also bring some extra rope.

Talked to the park today. Not sure how we're doing the parking passes yet. For now just stop at the registration shack, tell them you're with the Hammock group at the group campsite. Last year I had issued them at the campsite.

Thanks for the update. Are you bringing any bugspray or sunscreen?

I’m gonna get warmed up for big chill by hammocking with Gunner&Terminator at balmy Medoc Mountain
Folks have hills in their yards higher than Medoc Mountain—highest point on a survey line from the coast
On Friday morning, I’m gonna drink coffee and tell lies with SteelPlayer, and the gang then mosey on up to Grayson—hope to be there B4 dark “Early”

I am bringing sunscreen. Hope I'll need it Saturday. By the way, looks like I'll get there Friday morning.
