Putting a permanent eye in shock cord

I have a few projects that require a permanent eye in the end of a length of sick cord.. Any suggested methods for putting an eye in the end that won't pull out when the cord is stretched?

A bowline didn't hold. I thought a Double Dragon could be an option. Or create a bite, stretch the cord and tightly whip it?

Alpine butterfly? Never used on shock cord but works decent on thicker nylon stuff.

At West Marine they have a metal thing that crimps to a triangle around folded shock cord. I then cover it with heat shrink made for electrical connections. (This is for thick shock cord which doesn’t tie well) They call it a hog ring.

Interesting, a double overhand has never pulled out in my uses.

For bungee loops I use the non-inverting bowline that MacEntyre demonstrates in this video. I don't tie it the same way (moving the loop from one side to the other and slippery finish). What's important is wrapping the end twice instead of once before putting it back through the loop.

I've always used a poacher's knot, haven't had any issues.
