    The 30° quilt is 18oz. I think the shell was around 5-6oz and I used 12-13oz of down. I have used it to about 26°f and just started to feell like I needed to put more on than the base layer I usually sleep in. No socks ever, I find they make my feet colder than the nice soft down and material.
    One of my next DIY projects are down booties.

    Just an update all... I had the quilt down to 29deg and was very warm!

    Hey I just wanted to give you an update. I had the quilt down to 29deg this weekend. Performed very well. I actually was very warm.

    Congratulations! I'm contemplating a queen size one for my bed at home. New England winters can get chilly! Dutch's new down alternative could make that an affordable project.
