Other than Trail Days in Damascus, Va., is there any other festivals where hammock vendors gather to display their products on the East coast. I would like to see and compare multiple setups but don't want to fight the 15,000 plus crowds at Trail Days. I live in Maryland so I'm looking for anything within a days drive.
Hangcon in Florida in January is a good bet. Check the Outings forums for more, especially the Southeast forum.

Go to Spring Mahha. Pine grove furnace state park in Pa isn't far from you.

Agree with TT that a great option would be to go to the annual spring MAHHA (Mid Atlantic Hammock Hanger Association) gathering in Pine Grove Furnace state park in PA. If you search the site for MAHHA you will find lots of information. In addition to some hammock vendors, there are usually more than 100 hangers there, all willing to share their gear experiences

Thanks for the info. I hiked through Pine Grove last year on my section hike, very nice park. I'll check out the MAHHA for 2019 and plan on attending.
