i signed up but I can't commit fully for the hang until I get released from the surgeon that wednesday 23rd!
i did sign up for donation of firewood and that still stands, just need someone to grab it in the event that i am not released! my woodpile is in washington twp gloucester co.! i will post about this the 23rd! based on my last hip replacement i was released at the 4th week and back to work on the 5th week.

I believe he still goes with the hammock backpacking group in northern NJ. I think Ratdog, Chris and Diana, some others still see him around.

Looks like we won't be having a proper raffle this year, at least not one with actual vendor gear. I'm certainly not volunteering to solicit vendors for gear - been there, done that, and I think I organized the best raffle we ever had at the NJ Winter Hang.
I remember my first three years of the NJ Winter Hang, when the raffle was quite paltry. I won a CRKT knife the first year, which I didn't much care for. So the next year, I put that knife back in the raffle. Unfortunately, I won that knife again. The next year I put that knife back in the raffle, and I won it again. I've given up on getting rid of that knife - it's a permanent part of the collection now.

Oh well, nothing wrong with a piddling raffle! I'll toss in a couple of Amsteel soft shackles and maybe a Foster's can. Then again, I'm not splicing - I'll just donate some Amsteel and you can splice it yourself.

I saw Ron a few weeks ago. He's been busy with school for the last year. Most of his trips lately have been with Greenfrog over on BushcraftUSA.

This time I will not be back from Scotland in time. This trip was a surprise birthday present from my wife (but she’s not going with me -thats a present).
