[LIMITED RELEASE] - 0.67 oz Burnt Orange Dyneema Composite

As a preview of things to come (hint hint), we've put together a limited release of printed Dyneema Composite Fabric in a custom Burnt Orange!

At 0.67 osy, this is the lightest printed DCF we've ever done. Plus, it checks in at only a couple bucks more per yd than the standard colors that you see all the time.

    0.67 oz Dyneema Composite Fabric CT1E.08_O4K.18 - Burnt Orange.jpg

In terms of material construction, this is basically the 0.51 oz DCF with a printable K.18 mylar layer. In addition to making the material printable, this extra mylar layer increases the abrasion and puncture resistance compared to the base 0.51 oz variant.

We released about 100 yds to the site last night. Once that's gone, it's gone... So act quickly! Link below...

Super cool for some cottage maker to do a limited edition run with or the DIYer who wants to have a special one off something.

Love the look of the burnt orange. However, I want to know more about the WPB DCF that randomly popped up on your site.

Since this is bonded with mylar would it be good shelter material? Like an emergency bivy? Or a non emergency bivy?

Most all DCF is dyneema fibers sandwiched in mylar, This just has an extra layer that accepts printing. I would say the SOL UL bivy/blanket is better suited for what you're after since it's reflective and already extremely light weight for what it is. Sure, this DCF is totally non-breathable so it will keep in your heat and block wind, but it won't provide the radiation that the reflective SOL bivy will.

    Oh you mean this?

    DCF WPB.jpeg

My executive summary? It's the lightest, most breathable, and likely the strongest (*ounce for ounce) WPB fabric you can buy. I believe this is the first time it's been made available to the MYOG market, which is pretty cool. We're happy to carry it.

The Burnt Orange is REALLY nice. And the color depth IMO is much better than the other standard colors like OG and Blue. Pretty exciting!

Yes I'm ultra pumped to see the WPB finally available to us. This will make stellar rain gear. I'll be making some rain pants out of that ASAP. Agreed on the burnt orange, it looks to be way deeper than the normal colors.
