Will help with loading the wood
All offers to help are excepted. Don't know if I will be hauling the trailer with my van or SUV. If it is the van then there will be plenty of room for 3 folks. If it is the SUV then 2 folks.

Will need help to unload the wood once we get back.

Have to give a shout out to Mooseman who has been promoting this hang big time on the Tar Heel Hangers Face Book page.

I put in a request to join the the Tar Heel Hangers, I was starting to wonder if we would have a group of more than 7 or 8. Looks like I better get the coffee pot out and ready.

I'm starting my 10° UQ this weekend, looks like I'll have some cold weather on Monday night to test it out on the porch. The forecast calls for 28°-30° on Monday night.

Gunner will that Coleman stove accommodate a pot 34" to heat chili? Or do I need to bring a fire grate and do it the old fashion way?

Gary and Christy Kirk are the folks attending the hang and doing a pod cast at the hang; have a web site found here...https://insidetheoutsideshow.com/. I have listened to some of the casts and have found them to be pretty good. Covers a variety of subjects related to camping. I am listening to one of their pod casts as I type this.

It should but I will have to measure it to be sure. It is a standard size dual burner propane stove. Is that 34" the diameter on the bottom of the pot ?

My pleasure buddy. With the other two big Hangs that weekend happening. Just wanted others and TSH along with NC Hammock Hangers to all know there's a not as far away hang without leaving NC. I'm still unsure for me because of the Vertigo. Trying to get back to work and then I can play more.
I've even told some tent grounders they can come as well and learn from us all.
Tell Sam I miss him a lot and have a friend he needs to meet. Later Gunner

Yes sir. Planning on a big enough pot to have some leftover for lunches or whatever.

If reheating chili, not burning it can be a challenge, especially while camping. A double boiler can help avoid burning—just might not have all these different pots available while camping.

A chance to convert some more campers to the dark side...even if we don't have cookies.

I heard you were having some issues. Being sick is no fun. Sam is playing with his big toy right now...My youngest son is here and Sam is trying to wear him out.

Good idea...I am sure we can figure out something.

Grappler you're correct. Reheating any food like chili is tricky. Low and slow is the only way to do it but that really burns a lot of gas.

I have a vacuum food saver. It's usually how I freeze food for transport rather than using containers or Ziploc bags. I've sealed meals and reheated in boiling water on a small scale but I'll need to experiment for a large scale. Or just reheat in a big pot and don't scrape the bottom. It's not rocket surgery.

Sam is always ready to do his part by doing the pre rinse of any pots with food stuck inside
