Thanks for the helpful and interesting info. I had read before about the Peshtigo fire but didn't know much the Phillips fire, had to look it up. Sounded pretty terrifying.

You layered a lot of info into a short video. Well done and much appreciated as I will read up even more about historic fires and how they impact us even now. Those who are reeling in northern California this winter will feel the effects for years, perhaps generations.

Well, I was about to Call B.S. , as a lot of my trees have this. I took caution in looking like an idiot and googled it. So I officially concur that you my have very well saved my life.

I started pinning a length of orange ribbon between trees I have hung from. To monitor what happens there. I have fond a multitude of branches that would have definitely put a hole in my tarp minimum. Not much deadly going on but the "healthy" trees are losing parts...
