    The "Starter" Hammock $54

    https://simplylightdesigns.com/colle...ts/the-starter
Thinking about buying a couple of these as gifts.

Would 1.9 ripstop hold a 200lb person and an average size golden retriever?

    Available in 3 fabrics:
Royal Blue Nylon Ripstop (1.1 oz) - Good to 200 lbs
Black Nylon Ripstop (1.3 oz) - Good to around 250 lbs
Foliage Grey Nylon Ripstop (1.9 oz) - Good to 350 lbs

I guess the weight is good but will the fabric hold up to a dog?

I'm on my second beagle, and neither of them have ever done any damage to my hammocks. Of course, I always make sure beagle Joey's nails are trimmed at least a week in advance of any hammock trip. That way I know any sharp edges on his claws will be worn down and smoothed by his walks on the asphalt and concrete in the neighborhood.

Beagle Joey has about five nights in my Dutch 1.6 Chameleon, and one night in my Dutch PolyD 1.4 hammock and I've had no damage. However, when Joey wants to take a leak, I am quick to take him out because I dread to think what he would do to my hammock or bugnet if I ignored him.

I know the recipient will definitely try to get his dog in the hammock with him in the late spring.
    So good to know.

HAHA! I placed an order this week in the morning...figuring it would be a few hours since he's 2 time zones behind me. About 18 minutes later Jared e-mails me saying the fabric has been ordered for my new tarp.
