I have my tree straps and carabiners in a little stuffsack. Hammock with mosquito net attached in the bishop bag. Tarp in another stuffsack. Ropes and stakes in a mesh bag. All goes into one 10L drysack along with a 2x3ft piece of yoga mat. Clothes in a 2nd dry sack, food in a 3rd dry sack, cook set in a mesh bag. All goes into my backpack with my sleeping bag. Makes it easy-peasy to get to everything quickly and efficiently.

Due to this thread, my wife got me one for a stocking stuffer! But I am wondering if the straps will dry out in this sac? Do you know if it holds in moisture or if it’s breathable enough to allow evaporation? If not, I may return to the two Antigravity Gear mesh sacs that I used on my Thru hike; but prefer the durability of this sac.

I'm not really sure if straps would dry in the sac. I would always hang my straps when I got home. The reason I use it is to keep pine sap that gets on the straps stays off the hammock. I'll be paying attention to that in the future.

Ditto. When I return from any outing, rain or shine,I air out everything to make sure it is perfectly dry before long term storage.(if you are pressed for room at home you could try spreading your things out in your car in the sun.I dried a watch that way once too.....)

Pictured below, as they are stored in the roll above. Clockwise from the left are the dog bones in Amsteel & Zingit; two backup Dynaglide UCRs (at some point I am taking them out.. have not used them in ages); two 12' Dutch 2.2 Kevlar tree straps with Evo Loops and button knot sliders; six MSR Mini Ground Hogs; two Ti Shepard Hooks. This doesn't change unless it has been exceptionally wet (in which case I will take two full size MSR Ground Hogs) or it is extremely cold (in which case I swap out the mini ground hogs for gutter nails).

I was going back thru this thread to remember this roll up. It looks like you made it, I’m thinking of making something similar. Main question I have is the flap cover the top portion of each pocket: is it sewn on the sides? If so, how easy is it to get items in and out of each pocket?

Yes, the flaps are sewn to make three section, the single section left, double section middle and stake section on the right. The center and left sections are absolutely no issue. The stakes... I can't call it annoying or problematic, but you do have fold the flap back over the stakes to make it easier. The mini ground hogs are easy, the hooks on the shephard hooks like to get caught...

That said, I've been using this same roll for ages and though I have three other stake bags, this is the only one I use.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Thank you. I’m thinking of sewing one up this weekend.

I use straps and Dutch Clips and everything stays attached to the hammock and all goes in to the hammock's stuff sack so it can not get lost.

I like the design of that storage bag.

You can also leave the upper flap completely loose- simply fold it down after inserting your items and then roll the bag up. Mine is like this and I've never lost anything out of it. In fact, these are so quick and easy to sew why not make one of each design and see which you like better?
