You feet shouldn't be falling over the edge and if your quilt is snug at your feet it should all stay in the hammock but if there is any excess length I could see that spilling over the edge.

We can also make a length of GGR webbing with 3 zipper halves sewn together so you can attach hammock body, topcover and UQP all together...email me if anybody is interested in that.

Sounds like a solid solution. Still only one zipper to undo to get in or out and maintain complete seal and footbox

Would this allow the UQP to be zipped to the hammock for a neater look and to avoid the dreaded sit-in-the-UQP mixup?

I took Brandon up on his suggestion and bought his zipper mod. Of course it fits perfectly. I hated that I had to unzip the top cover from the hammock body in order to go Chinook mode. To me the footbox loses its function when you do that. And yes it fixes the dreaded sit-in-the-TQ/UQP mixup.

I too just got my zipper mod, and I think it's absolutely BRILLIANT!! As bigdisgrace says, it fits perfectly. Brandon and Warbonnet DEFINITELY have their act together when in comes to their product and customer service. EVERYTHING is TOP quality! I can't say enough good about them!!!

I’d be interested to see pics or demo of this. Sounds like a cool rig.

Here's a couple of pics. Not sure if it helps... Top cover, or bugnet zips into upper zipper half. Underquilt zips into lower zipper half and then the hammock zips into the inner zipper half.

Did not weigh mine either but figure 10.5 ft long ea. for L & R side. Each side is 1" wide stout grosgrain with (3) half zippers sewn to that. I'd say each one is at least same weight as a 10-12 ft. tree strap. For storage I just un hooked the Wooki head & foot ends let it slide down into the UQP, then un-zip the UQP about 2 feet in the center, reach in and pull Wooki out. For storage I leave it all zipped together. It all fits in original double ended stuff sack(hammock, mod & UQP). As you can see in HardWays pics above it adds 1/2" width to the topcover & 1/2" width to UQP on each side. The tie outs pull that extra width out so the whole set up gains a little in width.
