If you want to use porch mode, you might want about 10'-12' lines on one side, to be safe. The other side can be shorter, like 4'-6'. Or you can make all 4 corners with the shorter length and carry a couple of extensions to use only when you want to set up in porch mode. For the doors, you can use even shorter lines, like 2'-3'.

For a standard deployment I use 4' on one side which is always set low as a wind/privacy wall. The other side uses 8' so it can be rigged in porch mode. Now for the panel pulls lots of different ways to rig but I prefer the external pole mod if not using an internal pole mode as most rigging methods are a PIA.

Sorry for the bad image below, best I could find this morning.

4'/8' mentioned above gets it done. I recently switched all mine to 6' all around, so I don't need to be limited to which side is "porch" side. 6' is always more than I need, but I like having a little extra.

Internal - End Pole Mod from UGQ is THE way to go. I'll gladly carry those 2 poles for the ability to go from a wide open Porch Mode View like above, to a hunkered down O-Chit mode w/in a minute, all without leaving the tarp.

I use Dutch Fleaz on my 4 corners and leave my cord locked into the fleaz and stored w/ the tarp. The other end of the cord has a bowline. Because I may shift Porch mode from one side to the other on any given hang and because a few extra feet of small cord does not bother me, I use 6-8 feet on all for corners.

With the Internal Pole Mod, I have never used my panel pulls.

Sorry, didn't address your question, but rather reviewed / sold the Internal Pole Mod.

Thanks. I plan to do the end pole mod myself, but in some situations may not carry the poles.
