    Japanese (Kanto) winter hang

Yup, it’s around the same place but different station. The hike in is really simple and short and I was wondering if that was ok? Can start late (also a 7-11 nearby). The next day will be really hiking.

Here is the place i was thinking we can camp - photo was taken April of last year...

There’s flat areas for tent and plenty of trees to hang.

Water source which should still be flowing, else walk back 30 min and pull water from a pond.

Re bears: I’ll bring a bear line and we can hook up our bags. Another point is to have our meals away from where we sleep. Nothing major to worry about.

: Do you have any free time in March for possible trip up Kumotori? The little lodge there will be closing for good and I was planning to go there before they shutdown.

I'll setup a separate planning page by this weekend with all the logistics. I think we can meetup at noon, have bento by the pond and then head into the forest and have plenty of time to setup and talk shop.
