So, I made my wife an underquilt a few months ago using UP insulation (she has a sensitivity to down.) We finally had a chance to test it out this weekend. I had used the underquilt calculator and the assumption that it was equal to 600fp down and built it to be a minimum 20 degree. Temps last night got down to 37 degrees, and she reports she slept toasty warm. It's surprisingly compressible, much better than the Climashield quilts I made for two of my kiddos, and was overall much easier to work with than down. So far, we are very pleased with it.

That is great, thanks for that report. We have some great news on UP insulation coming Up. It will soon be available on finished quilts.

Is this the same as the new lofttek from the outdoor vitals coat?
If so, I'll have some in my hands for testing in a few weeks (hopefully)
