So, I made my wife an underquilt a few months ago using UP insulation (she has a sensitivity to down.) We finally had a chance to test it out this weekend. I had used the underquilt calculator and the assumption that it was equal to 600fp down and built it to be a minimum 20 degree. Temps last night got down to 37 degrees, and she reports she slept toasty warm. It's surprisingly compressible, much better than the Climashield quilts I made for two of my kiddos, and was overall much easier to work with than down. So far, we are very pleased with it.
