Video: Hammock Stand build for under $100

With the help of many of you on the forum, I decided to build a backyard hammock stand. The materials were all found at Home Depot.

    2 - 4x6x12 treated posts
    2 2 2x5x16 treated boards
    12 - 3" lag bolts
1 box wood screws wood screws
    4-6 bags of Quickcrete

You want to use whatever tools necessary to ensure everything is on the square and on the level. A good ladder helps too.

The whole project took around 3 hours. It was fairly straight forward stuf. The stand is super solid with no movment.

    Enjoy

Nice job on the stand. Looking forward to the new hammock reviews. So are the posts 16 feet apart?

The posts are 15.5’ apart. I used the ends to reinforce the middle section. I’m super excited to have a hammock lab in the back yard. I’ve got lots of fun videos planned. We’ll be reviewing gear, cooking over the fire and working on some bushcraft skills. Stay tuned.

Nice job on both understanding and explaining the blocking.

Jared's tarp looks like a luxury tarp to compliment your luxury package (stand, view and bridge).
I hadn't seen that combo before and it's a nice fit.

Not too shabby - I was gifted some signposts for a parking lot that I made mine out of - 12' spacing wasn't exactly what I wanted that was about all that would fit in my backyard when my wife would let me put it - told my wife we could disguise it as a "entrance" into the corner garden I'm going to put in in the spring

Thanks. I really enjoy your videos and look forward to the new ones coming out. Where's Max been? He used to be in all of your videos. Tell him he's been missed.
