Mid 30's with lots of rain... I think you need to redo the forecast to something a bit better... like 0 degrees + scattered snow.

It's only 85 days away, so unfortunately it's pretty much set in stone at this point. Give or take a degree.

I just spit coffee down the front of my shirt. No lie.

That's a sign of old age. Next stage is diapers.

One Click get's the benefit of being our own Willard Scott with his weather updates. I'm already looking forward to AndrewB's growler contribution. His homemade milk stout is to die for!

Spitting down the front of one's shirt is okay. Drooling or dribbling, now that's old age!

Oh great. Now he's got to change his username from OneClick to Willard.

Snowing outside this morning, almost covering ground again. Hope to hang outside in backwoods this weekend and test new tarp end doors. Plus temps supposed to be nice and cool, perhaps teens to test all the warm stuff I have.

Planning a few more trips between now and GT in February. Will be well practiced and dialed in by then. Just need a little snow for the pulks to make the trip in nice and smooth, compared to a couple marathon slogs thru wet muddy terrain I can remember over the past year.

So many good things possible for meals. Have to see what others put into planning google doc for food choices.

Looking forward to meeting everyone again around a huge roaring fire!!

A couple of us did some recon up there last weekend. Hare Road is accessible, February is a long ways off so we will have updates as we get closer. The Beavers have been very active dropping trees (we did clear the ones over the trail) and the little wood bridge from the Hare is getting close to being underwater.

We did find an awesome breakfast/lunch/dinner place in Vanderbilt called Mill Street Pizza. They open at 8 AM and have an awesome breakfast. I spoke to the owner and they offered their parking lot behind the building to stage cars. So, if anyone is driving up solo, it's a good place to meet up and have breakfast. Just let them know your heading to Green Timbers and they will take care of you.

The "Loggers omelet" or the $5 breakfast special is highly recommended. I'll even toss out the idea of hitting the place on Sunday as a group when everyone heads out of town.

    Bring on the snow!

So as of right now it's looking like I am going to be able to make it up there. Total noon when it comes to group hangs what exactly do I need to bring? I know there is a link for directions. Looking at getting there Friday night or Saturday morning

Erok, keep an eye on the spreadsheet. The norm is to bring 1/2 of a group meal, though it’s usually a struggle for everybody to get their meal in, we usually suffer from over abundance. Bacon or some other snack meat is always welcomed too. Read some of the previous years trip report to gain insight. A chair for sitting around the fire is good to have.

I’m assuming you’ve winter camped before and aren’t seeing advice on that aspect of the hang.

Looking forward to meeting you at the hang.

I'm dialed in for winter camping. I was looking for food type info. Lol.
